MS All-State Showchoir
Students audition to be selected for a weekend intensive of learning from the show choir community’s expert choreographers and directors.

Mississippi ACA-Fest
High energy and exceptional vocals are experienced by attendees at ACA-Fest held on Pearl River Community College’s Poplarville campus.

Location: Brownstone Center for the Arts (Poplarville, MS)
ACDA/MMEA State Conference
The annual joint in-service conference for the Mississippi Music Educators Association & the Mississippi American Choral
Directors Association.
Date: January 23-25, 2025
Location: The University of Southern Mississippi
MSACDA Summer Conference
All rehearsals and interest sessions will occur in the beautiful music facilities at Mississippi State University.
Date: June 16 - 18, 2025
Location: Starkville, Mississippi
Ernestine Ferrell Award
The Ernestine Ferrell Award for Excellence in Choral Music in Mississippi
is a prestigious award established to honor the memory of Mississippi’s longtime State Supervisor of Music.
To be selected as a recipient of this award, one must have been active in Choral Music in Mississippi for at least twenty years, should have made significant contributions to the choral art, and should have the respect and admiration of colleagues and students alike. There are many distinguished choral musicians who deserve to be nominated for this award. The recipient of this award is selected by a committee made up of ACDA members. Please submit your nomination no later than November 15, 2024.
